What You’ll Do
- Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transfers)
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Offer medication reminders (no administration)
- Support safe mobility and ambulation (walker, wheelchair, etc.)
- Observe and report changes in client condition or behavior
- Use our mobile app to clock in/out and document care notes
- Follow infection control and safety procedures (CDC-compliant)
✅ What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: 2 years of caregiving experience (home care, assisted living, or facility)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass a national background check
- Current TB test and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication
Position Details
- Position Type: PRN, Part-Time
- Schedule: Flexible — day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available
- Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
- Location: Merrillville, IN & surrounding Lake and Porter County areas
- Reports To: Staffing Coordinator
