Ā JOB SUMMARYĀ
TheĀ Expeditor, or āExpoā in restaurant talk,Ā is an essential positionĀ for theĀ function of a restaurant. This position ensures that the food leaving the kitchen is correctly prepared according to theĀ ticket,Ā the plates are going to the rightĀ tables, andĀ overseesĀ finishing the plating.Ā The expo is the direct line of communication between the front and back ofĀ house.Ā On busy days,Ā the expo will also run foodĀ to theĀ proper tables.Ā Ā
ESSENTIAL DUTIESĀ
Coordinate timing of food preparation between kitchen and front of house teamsĀ
Inspect plated dishes for presentation, completeness, and adherence to order specificationsĀ
Ensure all required accompaniments, modifications, and dietary requests are fulfilled for each orderĀ
Deliver food to tables promptly using proper service etiquette when servers are not availableĀ
Communicate clearly with guests when presenting dishesĀ
AssistĀ servers withĀ set up andĀ preopeingĀ workĀ
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line and service stationsĀ
Monitor ticket timesĀ and escalate delays or issuesĀ
Support Kitchen and service staff toĀ maintainĀ efficient workflow during serviceĀ
AssistĀ with stocking service areas and completing side work.Ā

- Ā Must ski/snowboard at an intermediate level
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS-Ā Ā
This positionĀ isĀ requiredĀ toĀ workĀ days,Ā evenings,Ā weekendsĀ and holidaysĀ while in operation.Ā
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.Ā
Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.Ā
Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling,Ā pushingĀ and pulling on an occasional basis.Ā
Talking and hearing occur continuouslyĀ in the process of communicatingĀ with guests,Ā supervisorsĀ and other employees.Ā Ā
