Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Cuba - Cuba, MO 65453Position Type: Part TimeTravel Percentage: NoneGeneral Statement of Duties: This position provides a variety of customer savings, checking, and credit account transactions. The teller is responsible for handling large amounts of currency and accurately balancing the teller drawer daily. This position involves extensive customer contact and interdepartmental contact. Upholding customer confidentiality is a must. This position will work on afternoons between 2pm and 5pm and every other Saturday between 7:30am-11:00am.  Additional hours may be added based upon seasonal need.QualificationsEssential Job Functions: Accurately handles all transactions assigned to the teller window with the aid of the Teller program. Receives and processes deposits/withdrawals to checking and savings accounts. Cashes checks and makes change for customers. Issues traveler’s checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks. Assists customers in cashing savings bonds. Processes credit card cash advances. Opens, processes, and sends receipts for night drop deposits in accordance with logging procedures. Assists in the collection and processing of mail as needed. Counts, checks, and packages currency and coin as needed. Assists in the process of closing savings and checking accounts. Assists customers with entry into safe deposit boxes. Balances assigned cash drawer daily. Maintains adherence to security procedures and assigned cash drawer limits. Receives and processes renewal check orders from customers. Opens all types of new accounts: personal and commercial checking, savings, CD’s, Money Markets, Debit Cards, etc. Maintains proper documentation and follow-up correspondence for newly opened accounts. Orders business and personal checks and deposit slips. Assists in vault and other branch balancing processes as needed. Prepares the main lobby according to opening and closing procedures as needed. Answers customer inquiries about the status of various accounts in-person or over the phone. Follows bank policies and procedures, including state and federal regulations at all times. Assists with the filing and record keeping of departmental information. Maintains departmental appearance, both personal and general. Assists with ATM functions as needed. Actively cross-sells bank services to customers. Answers the main phone line as needed. Upholds customer confidentiality at all times. Serves customers in a cordial and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction with service provided by the bank. Takes advantage of opportunities to promote the Bank when involved in voluntary community activities and civic organizations to cross sell the Bank’s products and services. Assists in other departments as needed and completes other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. One year prior cash handling/teller experience preferred. Prior experience in a customer service environment preferred. Experience with calculators, standard office equipment, internal bank software and PC software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred. Prior experience working within a team environment preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for accuracy with numbers. Excellent phone etiquette. Ability to plan, prioritize, meets deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent human relations/customer service skills to effectively interact with customers and co-workers. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to pay attention to detail. Demonstrated aptitude for learning new policies and procedures. Self-motivated and results oriented.
