As a Machine Operator, the incumbent should possess the skills, ability, knowledge and willingness to learn any task within the value stream requested by management with limited supervision, oversight or guidance. Weekend shift (Friday- Sunday).

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Actively participate and abide by Lucas Milhaupt safety program and policies, including active participation in using Zero Communication Platform.
  • Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Understand how to setup and operate assigned equipment and be able to communicate Important Steps, Key Points, and Why provided by training.
  • Comprehend and execute assigned processes within the department.
  • Ability to perform quality checks as needed.
  • Formulate products according to prescribed “recipes” and follow defined processing steps in an efficient manner.
  • Package products in prescribed containers and cartons and attach appropriate labels and documentation.
  • Observe the processing operations, make adjustments as needed, visually observe in-process materials and perform any other “in-process” quality checks specified.
  • Organize, store and maintain all raw materials to insure proper identity, maximum efficiency, safety and proper inventory levels.
  • Maintain good housekeeping within the cell and keep all equipment meticulously clean to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
  • Must be able to read and understand the AS400 system.
  • All other tasks as assigned by his/her Supervisor/Manager.

  • Capable of executing work according to trained processes and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisor.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and requirements.

EDUCATION

  • Position requires a High School education/GED with some experience in a manufacturing environment.
