CNC Machinist - (Set Up Relief Operator) 2nd Shift

We are seeking a CNC Machinist (Set Up Relief Operator) at our Cudahy, WI facility to work 2nd Shift Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm, with training held on 1st shift for 60–90 days, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. This position is responsible for all complete setups of CNC machines and running them on a relief basis.

Position responsibilities include:

• Follows engineering setup charts to perform initial assembly of tools
• Performs complete disassembly of jobs
• Arranges tooling
• Interprets program to install all tools in the machine and establish and put in offsets
• Performs complete machining of first piece
• Verifies all dimensions on machines to corresponds with drawing
• Running machines in a relief basis

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Ability to read blueprints
• 5-7 years of CNC experience
• Machining certificate preferred

 Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or 
• At least 5 years of previous CNC operation experience.

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)

• Experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Center Operator/Machinist
• Experience with metal forgings
• Machining Certification.

Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives
• Strong knowledge of basic machining principles, GD&T and ability to read blueprints
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
