Salary Range: ($90,000 - $115,000)

Reports directly to VP of Operations  
Position Summary:
The Department Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing a portion operation within NPS Holdings LLC manufacturing. This role ensures that production goals are achieved safely, on time, efficiently, and within budget, while upholding high-quality standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and workplace safety. The Department Manager provides strong leadership, optimizes resources, and collaborates across departments to support overall organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety & Compliance: Lead and strengthen the workplace safety culture by enforcing safety programs, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring full compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Leadership: Plan, organize, and direct daily departmental activities to achieve production targets, efficiency, and quality standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise, coach, and develop employees; manage staffing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement lean manufacturing practices, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet established quality specifications and compliance standards.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment.


 
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare departmental reports, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize workflows and resolve production challenges.
  • Change Management: Support organizational initiatives, implement new technologies, and drive cultural and operational changes within the department.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean principles.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, build positive work culture, and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems (Macola/Synergy) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly mechanically inclined with the ability to apply technical knowledge perform inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
