Core Responsibilities Â
Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:Â
General operation of Multivac at end of Microwave line.Â
Ensures proper scaling and quality of finished packages.Â
Loads films, both forming and nonforming. Â
Programs Multivac and changes programs as needed.Â
Records production to get film yields and keeps film inventory.Â
Sets up and operates machine, making minor repairs and adjustments as needed.Â
Monitors finished packages for leaks, gas mix, etc. and keeps seal area clear of product.Â
Maintains quality and weights as required.Â
Adjusts depth of tools for different size packages.Â
Changes from gas flush to vacuum pack as needed.Â
Covers water sensitive areas of the machine before clean up.Â
Fills out production and down time reports.Â
Changes gas cylinders as needed.Â
Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.Â

The majority of the time is spent in the plant environment and will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.Â
Noise level is loud in the production area and hearing protection is always required.Â
Must be able to lift up to 80lbs.Â
Vision requirement of at least 20/40 for near and far vision.Â
