ATI is currently seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join our team in Cudahy, WI. As a Strategic Account Manager, you will report to a Program Manager and play an integral role in our continued success and in driving strategic growth and helping ensure we are meeting ATI and customer goals and objectives.
A successful Strategic Account Manager is a critical thinker, detail oriented, and is able to support customer inquiries and requests in a timely and appropriate manner. In order to become successful, you will have to quickly learn ATI, our products, and build strong relationships with customers and internal cross-functional teams including, production, planning, supply chain and other key stakeholders.
Summary
- Maintain and strengthen customer relationships.
- Initiate quotation proposals through internal procedure, negotiate pricing with assistance from Program Sales Manager and obtain orders which meet customer and ATI Forged Products requirements.
- Review customer orders for any errors or updates that may need to be made prior to entry into system.
- Coordinate communication between ATI Forged Products and customer regarding contractual or technical questions that may arise and establish verbal and written commitments between ATI Cudahy and customer.
- Perform internal and customer follow-up necessary to service customer needs.
- Work with Program Sales Manager to execute strategic customer and / or market commercial initiatives across all of the ATI Forged Products facilities.
- Provide Sales Management with statistics on sales order and shipment projections via monthly, and yearly forecasts to facilitate proper decision-making and goal setting.
- Interface closely with the Engineering Design, Technical, Production Planning and Operations teams across all of the ATI Forged Products facilities.
- Work with Production Planning to provide a weekly line of balance to customers. Escalate part priorities with Program Sales Manager as needed. Communicate weekly status updates to customers and Program Sales Manager.
- Responsible for effective handling of customer complaints to assure prompt resolution and desired customer relations.
- Participate in, and eventually lead, customer contact via plant visits and offsite discussions.
- Coordinate submissions by the Quality Department for customer review of non-conforming materials to assure compliance to contractual requirements procedure, and timeliness consistent with Sales Department and ATI Forged Products objectives. Assist Quality Department in obtaining timely resolution.
- Complete and submit customer reports as needed.
- Resolve payment discrepancies with customers as needed.
Basic Requirements
- BS. Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related is required.
- 4 years of experience working in account management
Preferred
- 4+ years of sales experience working in aerospace or a forging environment

- Effective oral and written presentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including, internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long term solutions
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to travel
- Broad knowledge of sales techniques, strong human relations, written, and oral communication skills.
