DLZ Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our Bridgeville, PA office. This role is ideal for a highly experienced water/wastewater professional who enjoys mentoring teams and managing technical projects. The position is focused more on technical leadership, team management, and project delivery, with some client interaction. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex, multi-discipline engineering projects from planning through design, construction, and closeout. 
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as a senior advisor to engineering staff.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. 
  • Lead project planing, scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination. 
  • Monitor project performance including budgeting, schedules, forecasts, and quality control. 
  • Review and approve major change orders and ensure contractual commitments are met. 
  • Coordinate internal teams across disciples to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project-related client communication and maintain strong working relationships. 
  • Conduct project kickoff and progress meetings and prepare project status reports. 
  • Support business development efforts as needed, including technical input on proposals and pursuits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Work with accounting to maintain accurate billing and project financials.
  • Participate in professional organizations and industry activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
  • 15-25 years of experience in engineering/project management, with strong water/wastewater project experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Proven experience managing technical teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to visit and traverse project and construction sites safely.
  • Proficiency with standard engineering and project management software tools.
