Mystic Café isn't your typical restaurant. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the week alongside quality espresso, fine wines, local art, and live music. The ideal prep cook candidate will: 
  • Assist in preparation of all types of food items while following recipes 
  • Work as a team player 
  • Assist in cleaning the whole kitchen area, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage area 
  • Advise supervisor of kitchen equipment repair or replacement 
  • Properly utilize, store, and label cooked food and food items 
  • Check computer printout for menu amounts and recipes. Report any discrepancies to supervisor. Submit food usage report to supervisor. 
  • Any other related kitchen duties as assigned by a supervisor. 
Job Qualifications: 
  • Prior experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel that is culinary and hospitality driven 
    • If you lack experience but are motivated and teachable, we would still love to talk to see if you are a good fit for our team! 
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to uncompromising quality 
  • A team-oriented approach and a calm demeanor during time-sensitive tasks 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully 
  • Willingness to cross-train into other areas and Happy Day restaurants 
  • Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance 
  • Maintain a positive attitude and commitment to excellence 
  • Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays 
  • Access to reliable transportation
