Job DetailsJob Location: Cullman Regional Medical Center - Cullman, AL 35056Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJob Category: Health CarePatient Access Representative- Data collection and accurate input into the hospital registration system Obtains signatures on all appropriate forms and issues all required notices to the patient or appropriate family member Verifies insurance, identifies certification requirements, and obtains them when necessary.  Notifies appropriate supervisory personnel if patient present for services and authorization is required but not on file Calculates estimated amount due and request payment using the hospital approved scripts Accurate and thorough documentation of pertinent events regarding the handling of the account, including researching prior accounts Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required. The ability to interpret medical terminology required. Experience: One to two years of clerical skills required. Insurance verification and hospital or medical experience preferred Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent customer service skills required. Computer experience required
