Position Overview:  The Lead is responsible for the daily leadership, support, and training for the team to achieve operational success through defined adherence to all manufacturing/quality policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all manufacturing targets and quality policies and procedures (paperwork, documentation, NCRM, escalation procedures, production targets, etc.).
  • Responsible for communicating day to day targets, safety concerns, and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for continual training and development of operators on processes and products.
  • Responsible for labor allocation, timesheets, and overtime management. 
  • Review and/or revise existing documents, processes and/or methods to improve processes.
  • Maintain records of all activities as requested by leadership.
  • Active and successful participation in Leadership Development Initiative.
  • Work with leadership and buyer/planner to achieve optimum schedule and adherence. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.  Wear required PPE.  Perform duties in a safe manner and observe safety procedures. Ensure full adherence to 6S (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Expertise: 

  • Proven leadership and communication ability both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math computations and proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to learn all primary and secondary department processes.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask with a wide variety of activites.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Ability to use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • This position will be in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available to work any shift, weekends, and/or overtime as required.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds consistently.
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
  • Routinely walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist.
