Job Description:

 

We are currently seeking a Lead, Production Planner to join our team in Culpeper, Virginia. You will be a part of our Scheduling and Material Planning team which networks across all departments and plays a key role from proposal to product delivery. As a Specialist, Production Planner you will analyze MRP supply and demand requirements for both production and development programs. You will organize and coordinate the work of individuals and/or project teams; manage all aspects of assigned projects in one or more operations supporting production activities such as short and long-range planning and material/tool planning and control. Perform for assigned functional area(s) and implement approved plans.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Use internal ERP system (Oracle) to plan and execute material readiness for program schedules.
  • Analyze program manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) and schedules for the manufacturing, assembly, and test of hardware.
  • Maintain and generate Program Planning Requirements, release supplier requisitions and shop orders for both MBOM and independent demand requirements. This also includes the identification of supply chain shortages to ensure velocity is maintained during the fabrication, assembly, and test cycle.
  • Identify and initiate Program Inventory Surplus/Close Out.
  • Monitors New Item Creation, Item Attribute Maintenance, MBOM management & Demand Management.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review progress and material readiness issues.
  • Executes required system transactions in a timely manner; and perform analysis on shrinkage, contract close out, or material excess.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
