JOB SUMMARY:

A Cycle Counter is responsible for ensuring a high level of accuracy of inventory throughout the plant by performing cycle counts routinely, resolving discrepancies, and conducting research.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Accurately verify, count, and record physical inventory listed on the Cycle Count Schedule
  • Resolve inventory count issues in a timely manner by communicating with leadership
  • Accurately analyze and interpret packing lists and pallet tickets
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to identify wood species, finishes, color variances, door and drawer front styles, frame styles, and all cabinet components
  • Knowledge of AWC material flow, systems, and identify locations for inventory
  • Ability to be self-motivated, think independently, and identify and document problems
  • Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

Required Physical Ability:

  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, and use of repetitive motions
  • Ability to climb and perform various duties from a ladder at various heights
  • Specific vision abilities including close and peripheral vision, and the ability to focus
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
  • Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses and gloves
  • The noise level is usually moderate to high
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
