Quality Control Lead

Seneca Foods in Cumberland is currently seeking a Quality Control Lead to join our team.  Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more!  Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!

Assigned QC Lead job duties are to oversee and assist QC seasonal employees, review production records, maintain production data, perform boiler checks, and sanitation tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist QC seasonal employees on the production floor
• Assist with the organization and completion of daily record review
• Ensure that GMP’s (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules, and regulations are being followed and enforced
• Update and maintain production data spreadsheets daily
• Collect and organize hold, segregation, and downgrade samples
• Complete various QC and Safety Checklists in the appropriate timeframes
• Perform boiler checks during the non-production season
• Perform sanitation projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

• Must have good attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have some mathematical aptitude
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
• Ability to utilize basic Microsoft Word/Excel functions
• Ability to utilize basic computer and tablet functions
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization
