Qualifications
- 2+ years of Montessori Director or early childhood leadership experience
- Associate/Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Montessori credential (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Food Safety Manager Certification
- Childcare Director License (Required)
- Knowledge of Texas Child-Care Licensing standards
- Computer proficiency

Key Responsibilities
- Educational Leadership
- Uphold authentic Montessori philosophy and classroom practice; ensure environments meet Montessori standards, child development principles, and licensing requirements.
- Observe classrooms regularly and provide coaching, feedback, and support for lesson planning, classroom flow, and individualized learning.
- Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, evaluate, and retain high‑quality staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, professional development, orientations, evaluations, and lead regular staff meetings.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful team culture and supervise staff performance to ensure responsibilities are fulfilled.
- School Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily operations in compliance with Texas Minimum Standards; interpret licensing codes and develop compliant policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate staff, student, attendance, and licensing records; assist with inspections, audits, and regulatory communication.
- Ensure facility health and safety compliance, update emergency procedures, and conduct fire, disaster, and intruder drills.
- Manage budgets for staffing, supplies, materials, and equipment; use Montessori software (ProCare, CRM, Montessori Compass, etc.).
- Lift/move children or materials up to ~50 lbs.
- Family Experience & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with families through warm, clear communication; address parent questions with professionalism and empathy.
- Plan and coordinate parent and community events, including creating flyers and communication materials.
- Support campus operations through tours, parent meetings, conferences, and schoolwide events.
- Help create a welcoming, consistent, community‑oriented school experience.
- Enrollment, Marketing & Growth
- Participate in tours and admissions conversations; guide families from inquiry through enrollment.
- Support retention through strong classroom and family experience.
- Organize open houses, marketing events, summer programs, and special events; contribute to school growth initiatives.
- Accreditation & Quality Standards
- Work toward and maintain all required school accreditations.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Work Expectations
- Onsite leadership role with regular interaction with children, staff, and families.
- Occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
- Able to drive a school bus and transport children for school and field trips.Â
