Position: Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA)

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Overtime Status: Salary, Exempt

Scope: Established GI practice seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA) to join our practice approximately 25 miles north of Atlanta. Prior GI experience is preferred but not required. A wonderful opportunity for a motivated provider to join a highly reputable practice in an area of impressive growth. Duties include being primarily clinic based with some hospital duties. Our practice currently consists of three physicians, one Nurse Practitioner, and four Physician Assistants. The clinic is a new facility located across the hallway from our new, state-of-the-art, three-room endoscopy center. Additionally, we have three satellite clinics. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Will be dedicated to providing attentive, individualized and compassionate patient centered care. 
  • Be a team player who enjoys a fast paced, busy, and growing environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently to other healthcare team members via telephone, email, or in person. 
  • Assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete physical examinations and document in the medical record in an appropriate time frame. 
  • Order and Interpret labs and diagnostic imaging and prescribe medications appropriately.
  • Educate patients and family members regarding procedures and disease processes. 
  • Be computer literate and have the ability to document delivery of care in the patient’s medical record. 
  • Perform duties assigned based on the needs and demands of the healthcare facility. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, other APP’s, medical assistants, and administrators in a courteous and respectful manner. 


Weekend call coverage is currently 1:5 at one hospital. Competitive compensation, CME allowance, PTO, generous productivity bonus structure, and benefits for the well-suited candidate.
