This position requires working hours from 1900 to 0730 on a rotating weekend basis, with no on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

The Monitor Technician Intern works under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or experienced Monitor Tech, learning how to analyze and interpret rhythm strips, provide on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provide RN's and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.

Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy/physiology and medical terminology.

Previous health care experience.

Work Hours:

1900-0730
