The Haptic Engineering team develops innovative haptic solutions and technologies central to Apple's products, including iPhone and Apple Watch. We enable the world's best user experiences through engineering precision, creativity, and innovation. We're looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate the next-generation haptic technologies—from concept through mass production—in a highly collaborative, hands-on environment.

Description


You will design, develop, and validate haptic subsystems for Apple products, working with various actuation and sensing technologies. This role spans the full product lifecycle, from early proof-of-concept investigations through system integration and mass production support.

Minimum Qualifications


BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience Strong background in circuit design, signal processing, and electromagnetism Experience with sensors and associated signal conditioning and processing chains Proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, Simulink, or similar simulation and modeling tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications


Experience in PCB design and IC validation/bring-up Experience with electromagnetic or piezoelectric actuators Familiarity with Python or C Familiarity with modeling electro-mechanical systems Background in physics or mechanical engineering fundamentals
