Description


APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop overall program objectives related to mechanical design, development, and engineering validation using textiles, silicon, and soft polymers for Apple Products. Create development plans and schedules and work closely with a cross functional team including industrial design, manufacturing, and engineering experts to achieve program objectives. Assess and track program activities, issues, and risks associated with the development of new materials. Guide the creation of measures and specifications as it relates to materials to ensure that Apple products are safe and biocompatible. Provide regular executive level updates on program status and risks. Work with suppliers on mitigating any risks associated with materials to be used in Apple products. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 - $258,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field. Experience and/or education must include: Utilizing Keynote, Numbers, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, or MS Project to create Gantt schedules that identify development phases, milestones, and critical path to meet deadlines Utilizing Keynote, Numbers, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, or MS Project to create detailed tables that track product development issues and risks. Utilizing Keynote or MS PowerPoint to create executive level presentations on product development status. Providing regular verbal executive level updates on product development status. Leading cross-functional technical discussions, brainstorms, and problem-solving sessions other experts in design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and environmental science. Utilizing financial knowledge of materials, tooling, process, and labor costs to create budgets and manage purchase orders using software tools. Utilizing knowledge of chemical engineering with insights into process flow engineering to craft specialized product development processes. Utilizing knowledge of environmental factors to lead product development activities that achieve scope, schedule, and cost goals.
