Description

The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for all research, design, development, test, and qualification of camera hardware for Apple products. We are searching for an extraordinary Hardware Engineer to take ownership in the development of very high-performance compact camera modules. We are seeking an engineer to take leadership of camera hardware projects in engagements with product and technology teams.

Minimum Qualifications

BS degree. Mechanical design experience using CAD 3D molding and drafting package. Basic structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience. Experience with various materials (research, selection, testing, process ability).

Preferred Qualifications

MS degree and 10+ years relevant industry experience Experience with NX Tolerance analysis of high complexity and precision mechanical designs with excellent understanding of GD&T. Ability to design for plastic injection molding and metal stamping for mass production. Author documentations on mechanical inspection and fixture design. PCB design experience a plus. Magnetic simulation and voice coil motor (VCM) for camera
