Description
We are seeking a talented, self-motivated motion scientist to build Apple’s next-generation features and experiences using multi-modal sensing. In this role, you will ideate, design, and implement algorithms & models, while optimizing for power, memory, and performance. You will be creating and driving motion sensing-related features and interactive technologies that impact over a billion customers. Responsibilities include: Evolving and realizing the technical vision for CoreMotion and working cross-functionality to align on that vision with partner teams Providing clear technical communication and guidance both for the team and leadership Developing and deploying state-of-the-art motion features for low-power, embedded systems
Minimum Qualifications
You have domain expertise - MS, PhD, or 5+ years experience in mechanical engineering, computer science or related disciplines You have a track record of success - developed impactful features with a proven track record to optimally prioritize and deliver tasks on schedule You have a strong product focus & have provided creative solutions that balance technical complexity and user experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing for embedded or real-time systems in C/C++ Deep technical knowledge of signal processing, motion estimation and system modeling Experience with data driven algorithm development using machine learning approaches Experience developing interfaces between algorithms, software, and firmware Experience with multi-modal algorithms, including IMU, images, video, and/or audio
