The Protective Services team at Apple manages the security of our most valuable asset: our people. As one of the most closely watched companies in the world, Apple has security needs that are broad and unique. This group develops solutions for issues across our global Executive Protection, Talent Protection, and Event Security functions.

Description


This candidate will be responsible for performing all aspects of protective operations domestically and outside the United States. This person must be able to operate within a small team environment and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of designated individuals and assets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing discrete protective services, success working in a high-performance environment, maintaining strict confidentiality, and must possess strong communication skills. Position will require domestic and international travel. Key responsibilities include: Coordinate security related duties including, but not limited to executive protection, secure transportation, safety/emergency planning, risk assessments, special event planning, etc. Prioritize strategies through a holistic approach to security to anticipate, identify, and mitigate risk. Assist with planning, organizing, and executing discrete executive protection services. Coordinate regularly with cross-functional team members, internal business units, and various service providers and agencies. Regularly conduct advance operations and develops, implements, and audits internally/externally developed security plans.

Minimum Qualifications


8+ years professional experience in executive protection, law enforcement, or military special operations is required Demonstrated experience in protection concepts to include protective intelligence, secure transportation, contingency planning, counter surveillance, and have experience in international and domestic travel Working knowledge of physical security systems to include, but not limited to intrusion detection systems, CCTV, and other security related software/hardware Ability to travel frequently, often on short notice, including globally Agreeable to being on-call for emergencies and must be adaptable to constantly changing schedules which may include weekends and holidays Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time as well as hiking/backpacking for several miles at a time in austere environments

Preferred Qualifications


Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborative abilities, and attention to detail Must be able to work with highly confidential information Bachelors degree preferred Tech sector and leadership experience highly desirable Experience specifically in a corporate executive protection role preferred Technologically savvy with strong computer skills and proficient in the development of Keynote presentations Ability to work under stressful conditions and often times in ambiguous environments remaining calm under pressure Skilled in being able to quickly collect, analyze, and disseminate information in a timely manner Self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision, and understand security concepts and theories Adept at identifying and managing vendors for concurrent projects globally Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem solving skills Basic medical training preferred. Advanced certifications are a plus.
