Description
Drive quality and engineering readiness for new products, modules and components, including critical modules such as Battery (Li-ion and other chemistries), Camera, Thermal and other subsystems - for iPhones & other Apple products, from early design through mass production. Partner with design, supply chain, and OEM/supplier teams to ensure new products meet specification, reliability, and scalability targets.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or the development of consumer electronics Experience in metrology, standard manufacturing quality control practices, and process/manufacturing engineering fundamentals Experience with any of the following: mechanical enclosures, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume quality/manufacturing engineering (e.g., Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Medical Devices, etc.) International travel to supplier sites, up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
Creative problem-solving experience and strong English communication skills Experience developing process quality plans, leading supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts Project management experience and a deep understanding of problem-solving and process development tools, including Design of Experiments (DoE), root cause analysis, FEA, FMEA, and statistical tools Expertise in GRR, MSA, GD&T practices, metrology, DFMEA, and tolerance analysis Knowledge of reliability methods, quality sampling methodologies, and process validation for high-volume manufacturing Strong communication skills and passion to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment Prior experience in design/manufacturing of components with tight tolerances is a plus
