APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Manage and maintain Apple’s large fleet of data systems running on Linux. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. Collaborate with teams to analyze logs and metrics to identify root causes. Provide effective technical support to ensure high customer satisfaction. Improve processes and enhancing system reliability and security, and developing documentation. Monitor system health, performance, and resource usage. Apply system updates, patches, and upgrades to keep the systems compliant. Provide on-call support for critical system issues. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,202.00 - $213,700.00/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: Using Linux System administration in a large environment to manage and administer systems running on Linux. Utilizing various Linux flavors including RHEL 6/7/8/9, Suse, for solving user problems in a large environment. Utilizing LVM to create filesystems and users. Using configuration management tools including Puppet or Chef to automate system configuration, software deployment, and infrastructure management. Supporting DB compute running on Clusters. Using Python or Unix Shell scripting for automation. Troubleshooting Network, Storage, and Database systems in enterprise data center environments. Using Linux boot process on BareMetal machines, Virtual machines.
