Description


APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop firmware for wireless audio products. Research, design, develop, implement, and debug wireless audio firmware. Review software source code to identify defects and performance issues. Analyze software performance problems and implement optimizations. Work on mobile and embedded platforms to combine cutting-edge software engineering techniques with next-generation hardware. Work with product management to prototype, design, develop, and test new feature sets for audio portfolio. Work with Firmware and QA teams to capture air traces and logs to analyze failures and ensure that optimum code quality is achieved. Perform multi-threaded, real-time programming on resource scarce devices. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications


Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 7 years of experience with the following skills: Utilizing C and C++ for software development and debugging. Developing and utilizing ARM based microprocessors and multithreaded resource scare systems using RTOS. Using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and serial debug logs to infer changes needed in software. Using ammeter, debugger, serial logs, and code analysis to enable, disable hardware peripherals to lower current consumption in system when not in use. Designing hardware components and test equipment. Creating engineering requirement specifications to outline the features and functionalities of systems and subsystems. Designing, developing, and maintaining desktop tool software for product development, deployment, and verification. 3 years of experience with the following skills: Modifying existing hardware boards and tools to quickly connect existing subsystems for development of systems before actual hardware is received. Reviewing and providing feedback for hardware schematics of products while maintaining product functionality for multiple hardware versions throughout product life cycle. Performance analysis and power management.
