THE FORUM  is recruiting for a hospitality focused SOUS CHEF  to join our team!

Full Time

Salary Range: $70K- $98K

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a ENTER JOB NAME HERE:

  • Supervises staff and assists the Executive Chef with interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, supervising, disciplining and terminating employees.
  • Prepares and cooks a high-quality food product.
  • Assists with food ordering/receiving process.
  • Assists with kitchen organization to maximize efficiency.
  • May assist in menu development and planning.
  • Assists in daily food and labor cost.
  • Assists in monthly food inventory.
  • Assists in controlling proper food storage.
  • Assists in reporting all food-oriented complaints.
  • Maintains quality standards of food.
  • Maintains sanitary and healthful conditions in the kitchen, utility and other food related areas.
  • Acts as an expediter during assigned shifts.
  • Responsible for food and beverage paper flow in the absence of the Executive Chef
    and Executive Sous Chef.
  • Implements and follows all Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) policies and procedures daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Education: High school degree or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.

  • Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years high-end restaurant, club, hotel or retirement community experience with kitchen supervision and excellent training skills. Experience in advanced cooking: garde manger, baking, sauces and all methods of preparations and presentations of hot and cold food.
  • Licensure / Certification: Must have current state health and sanitation certification. Must possess a valid driver's license, where applicable
  • Must be ServSafe® Certified
