Get to Know Your Team:  

  • Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care, and urology.
  • This position is accountable for operating the ultrasound scanners, transporting patients, and answering questions related to reports of exams.
  • The incumbent helps clean rooms and equipment, and order supplies, assists physicians with invasive procedures, and administers basic C.P.R. Must be RDMS or RDMS registry eligible.
  • The incumbent must be able to maintain a high standard of imaging.
  • A thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and positioning is essential for a quality exam.
  • Must be able to handle multiple demands simultaneously and keep a helpful attitude.
  • Must be able to coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow.
  • Must be available for 24-hour call-back with a 1-hour response time.
  • Will participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department.
  • The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his or her assigned area.

Job Requirements:  

  • Vocational/Technical.
  • Ultrasound Training.
  • Appropriate ARDMS certification or RDMS Registry eligible (within one year of hire)
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:  

  • 1 Year of experience.
