At Northbridge University, we are looking for an Student Services Coordinator! 

The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for providing supportive services to students by managing student resources available off and on campus, coordinating of social and recreational activities in the year, supervision of student campus organizations, and other academic and non-academic activities. The Student Services Coordinator administers programming, enhances the quality of the learning environment by contributing to the educational experience that increases retention and fosters student success. The Student Services Coordinator is the student success coach for on campus and online students.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed a Bachelor's degree, preferably in counseling, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Prior related experience in the staffing industry or a related industry is preferred
    Prior teaching experience in a post-secondary institution is preferred
  • Persuasive communication skills, with an orientation toward results
  • Ability to work extended hours (which will include evenings and weekends), in order to meet business objectives.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Works to place students in the field for which they are trained
  • Conducts market outreach, job and internship development
  • Develops and maintains employer and community contacts
  • Prepares student files and ensure completion of all necessary documentation
  • Provides career development opportunities for students on an on-going basis
  • Develops, implements and continuously enhances a Life Skills program as part of curriculum
  • Maintains accurate database of student and graduate files
  • Actively participates in on-campus events, programs and promotions
  • Assists with coordination of annual graduation ceremony
  • Assists with preparation of annual reports as required by regulatory agencies
  • Supports Career Services Director to achieve required placement statistics 
  • Manages and updates job bank database
  • Proactive follow-up and tracking of all graduates 
  • Prepares students for and conducts exit interviews and/or portfolio reviews
