RDR is seeking an Operator to round with our Utility Line Installation and Maintenance Division in Ohio.

Job Summary:

Safely dig and expose live utility lines without damaging other utilities in the area.
Dig with guidance from ground spotter.
Identify soil conditions and properly slope or bench trench to ensure safety of employees while working in trench.
Install trench boxes in trench when conditions prevent safe trench entry to ensure employees are safe while working.
Assist other employees as needed.
Perform daily pre-operation inspections and complete equipment checklist logbooks.
Report issues to Foreman and/or Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and perform routine field maintenance as needed
Follow all RDR safety policies and requirements.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to identify mechanical issues.
Strong situational awareness and ability to work safely around crews and equipment.
Perform labor duties as needed.
Final dress work with excavator preferred.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience operating a mini excavator.
Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Physical endurance to stand for long periods of time as well as walk, squat, crouch.
