Lab Technician

Overview

River Asphalt I is looking for Lab Technician. The Lab Technician role you will perform tests with a density gauge during the paving process and collect samples while documenting daily operations.

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

 Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• Previous experience in heavy civil construction or road construction
• Previous experience in a quality control lab for heavy civil construction or road construction

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Regularly required to talk or hear
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception 

Work Environment

• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration
• Noise level is usually moderate
