Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, integration, testing, and evaluation of electrical systems used in complex engineering programs. This role provides technical support for electrical systems engineering activities including requirements management, system design, integration, and performance evaluation. The Electrical Engineer works with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and maintain electrical system solutions that meet operational and program requirements while ensuring system reliability, performance, and compliance with engineering standards.
Essential Duties:Â
- Support the design, development, and integration of electrical systems and components.
- Perform electrical engineering analysis and support system design activities.
- Assist in the development and management of electrical system requirements and design specifications.
- Support system integration activities involving electrical subsystems and components.
- Conduct electrical system testing and evaluation to validate system performance and functionality.
- Utilize electrical engineering design tools and software to support system modeling, analysis, and design.
- Support engineering processes related to electrical systems development and lifecycle management.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical system issues and developing technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation including system specifications, design documentation, and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support system development, testing, and implementation activities.
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Experience:
- Experience with Naval Surface Warfare Center / DoD Test and Evaluation support preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional technical experience.
- At least three (3) years of specialized experience performing:
- Electrical system design and integration engineering
- Electrical system testing and evaluation activities
- Electrical system requirements management
- Electrical systems engineering design
- Utilization of electrical systems engineering design software tools
- Application of electrical systems engineering processes.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and electrical systems design methodologies.
- Experience supporting electrical system integration and engineering development activities.
- Familiarity with electrical systems requirements management and design documentation.
- Ability to utilize electrical engineering design and analysis software tools.
- Understanding of electrical system testing, evaluation, and validation techniques.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills related to electrical system performance.
- Ability to support engineering documentation, system specifications, and technical reports.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and support engineering processes throughout the system lifecycle.
Salary:Â The projected salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 and is based on experience and contractual requirements. However, this is not a guarantee of salary.
