Job DetailsJob Location: King George, VA 22485Position Type: Full TimeOverview SCCI is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team! In this position you will provide support to the Surface Combat Systems Training Center (SCSTC) in the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of CAST Lessons for use aboard shipboard systems. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.   SCCI offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits, 401k with Company Match, time off consisting of 2 weeks of paid vacation, 48 hours of sick/personal leave, and 11 paid Holidays.   Responsibilities: Perform Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of the operator training lessons using Government furnished computer equipment Identify and provide content discrepancies to lesson originators and SCSTC for review and validation Participate in comment review adjudication meetings relating to CAST IV&V results Revise operator lessons through a Life-Cycle process when discrepancies are discovered Interface with customers, management, and employees Essential Skills and Experience: Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance High School Diploma Minimum of three (3) years of combat system shipboard experience onboard an AEGIS platform to include CIC watchstanding Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Have attention to detail, care about the quality of work, and a drive for results Must have organizational, task tracking, and follow up skills   Preferred Skills and Experience: 3 years of experience utilizing multi-threat, multi-war force scenarios   SCCI is committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to meet the needs of employees and their families.
