Job Summary:
 ITS, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer: Level 4 to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. The Network Engineer will support and maintain the SPARTAN network environment, ensuring mission-critical C2 systems operate with optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role provides Tier 1 mission network support, collaborates with senior engineers on network design and implementation, and plays a key role in sustaining operational readiness across defense network environments.

Key Responsibilities:
 Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle support of the SPARTAN network to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
 • Provide Tier 1 support for mission networks associated with Command and Control (C2) systems; troubleshoot issues and escalate complex incidents as required.
 • Monitor network performance using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively address performance degradation or outages.
 • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching infrastructure, including Cisco and Juniper network devices.
 • Support implementation of network solutions in coordination with network architects and senior engineers to meet mission requirements.
 • Apply security best practices to network administration, ensuring compliance with DoD and organizational cybersecurity requirements.
 • Develop, update, and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
 • Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and defense network standards.

Required Qualifications:
 • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
 • Experience configuring and supporting Cisco and Juniper network infrastructure.
 • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
 • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure network administration practices.
 • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
 • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
 • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
 • Experience supporting military or defense network environments.
 • Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) systems and mission-oriented network operations.
 • Experience working at or supporting Space Force installations (e.g., VSFB, PSFB).
 • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIP.

Education/Experience:
 • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
 • 3–5 years of progressive experience in network engineering, including maintenance and operational support of enterprise or mission networks.

Clearance Requirement:
 • Active or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Salary Note:
 • In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
