AI Signal Research, Inc. (ASRI) is recruiting for the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR) contract in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's non-explosive open air and indoor test, evaluation, and experimentation for the Test and Evaluation Division (E40) within the Gun and Electric Weapons Department.



Education:  Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field of study is preferred.

 

Months/Years of Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in technical writing to include editing, formatting, and performing configuration management of documentation using approved guidelines.

 

Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen.  Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.  Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Desired Qualifications: Familiar with test and evaluation related documentation.  Able to edit documentation using proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.  Able to work independently and perform tasks with minimal supervision.  Able to interact effectively with co-workers/customers.  

 

Skills Needed: Technical writing background, configuration management skills, proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. 

 

Duties: Edit, track, distribute, and manage safety documents, test plans, and test reports (technical documents) required to test and evaluate inert and explosive ordnance.  Provide tactical support to weapons development programs.  Serve as point of contact for all issues related to technical documents.  Attend on-site review/validation of technical documents.  Research and submit technical documents upon request.  Update/maintain technical document status sheets, spreadsheets, databases, and forms.

 

Comments:  Compliance with health mandates as dictated by the contract may be required as a condition of employment. Employees are subject to alcohol and drug testing as a condition of employment.
