Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer supports the design, development, and integration of mechanical systems. The role performs engineering activities related to mechanical systems requirements management, systems engineering design, and system integration while utilizing mechanical systems engineering tools and processes.

Essential Duties:

Perform mechanical systems engineering activities including design, integration, and analysis.
Support mechanical systems requirements management.
Conduct mechanical systems engineering design and integration activities.
Utilize mechanical systems engineering design software tools such as SolidWorks or ProEngineer.
Apply mechanical systems engineering processes to support system development and implementation.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.

Experience:

Experience with Naval Surface Warfare Center / DoD Test and Evaluation support preferred.
Five (5) years of professional technical experience which includes at least three (3) years of specialized experience performing mechanical systems requirements management, mechanical systems engineering design and integration, utilizing mechanical systems engineering design software tools (such as SolidWorks or ProEngineer), and mechanical systems engineering processes.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

Knowledge of mechanical systems engineering principles and processes.
Knowledge of mechanical systems requirements management and systems engineering design.
Ability to perform mechanical systems design and integration.
Ability to utilize mechanical systems engineering design software tools such as SolidWorks or ProEngineer.
Ability to apply mechanical systems engineering processes to support system development.
