We are looking for:Nursing/ICU Veterinary TechnicianÂ
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7p-7a or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 10p-8a
Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who can identifypatient distress and react accordingly, enjoys phlebotomy, placing IV catheters, assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.Â

What you’ll do:Â
Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryÂ
Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessmentÂ
Partner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concernsÂ
Provide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsÂ
Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and proceduresÂ
Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsÂ
Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresÂ
Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingÂ
Who you are:Â
State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferredÂ
Prior veterinary experience required, previous nursing or critical care experience desiredÂ
Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)Â
Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryÂ
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentÂ
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
