Purpose

The Aircraft Technician (A&P Licensed) is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on Gulfstream aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company procedures. This role supports aircraft airworthiness, safety, and operational readiness while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism expected in a VIP aviation environment. The technician will utilize their Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and technical expertise to troubleshoot aircraft systems and support maintenance activities on large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft.


Essential Job Functions

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Gulfstream aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and Gulfstream maintenance manuals.
  • Conduct inspections, repairs, and system troubleshooting for aircraft mechanical and structural systems.
  • Remove, repair, and reinstall aircraft components including airframe structures, hydraulic systems, flight controls, landing gear, and environmental systems.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with FAA regulations and company maintenance procedures.
  • Perform functional checks, operational tests, and system troubleshooting to ensure proper aircraft performance.
  • Assist with aircraft modifications, upgrades, and service bulletin compliance.
  • Maintain proper tool control, FOD prevention, and safety procedures during maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Support aircraft return-to-service procedures following maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to company safety policies.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to maintain proficiency on Gulfstream aircraft platforms.


Minimum Qualifications or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience performing maintenance on Gulfstream aircraft platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and FAA regulatory requirements.


Preferred Qualifications or Experience

  • Direct experience working on Gulfstream large-cabin aircraft including Gulfstream G650.
  • Experience in a Part 145 Repair Station or corporate aviation maintenance environment.
  • Experience performing inspections, troubleshooting, and heavy maintenance on Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems such as CAMP, Traxxall, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting VIP or VVIP aircraft operations.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Travel

Limited travel may be required to support off-site aircraft maintenance or recovery operations.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment up to 50 pounds.
