We are currently seeking Low Voltage Electricians who test at all levels with experience to work on installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of structured cabling systems in low voltage, associated materials, and equipment on any type of project.

Responsibilities

Install and route low voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) through trays, conduits, and pathways
Terminate and dress cables at workstations, patch panels, and IDF/MDF rooms
Test and troubleshoot cabling systems using appropriate tools (Fluke or similar)
Read basic prints, schematics, and network diagrams
Perform proper labeling and follow industry standards (TIA/EIA, 568A/B)
Install and terminate data jacks, patch panels, and RJ45 connectors
Support network connectivity by patching and verifying circuits
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts
Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and climbing as required by job duties

Qualifications

Experience with structured cabling systems (data/voice)
Familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 installation and termination
Basic understanding of cable ratings and industry standards
Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work on a team
Certifications (BICSI or similar) are a plus
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Dependable vehicle for transportation to and from work
Valid Driver’s License
Must be licensed to work in TX
Licensed Electrician or desire to become a licensed electrician, a plus
