Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant will provide physician support services to ensure the clinic operates smoothly in providing patient care. They are responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks.Â

Responsibilities
- Phlebotomy/VenipunctureÂ
- IM/PO medication administration as ordered by providerÂ
- Minor Procedures (Minor Wound Care, Suture and Staple Removal, etc.)Â
- Assist with in-room diagnostic testing (X-Ray, US, etc.)Â
- VitalsÂ
- Update Patient Medical HistoryÂ
- Chief Complaints and recent changes to mental, social, physical healthÂ
- Gap Closure (Foot Exam, DRE, etc.)Â
- Review provider orders with patientÂ
- Review referrals with patientÂ
- Review normal/stable labs or diagnostic tests with patient and forward any concerns to providerÂ
- Remote Patient Monitoring SupportÂ
- Reinforcing understanding and adherence to care planÂ
- Respond to patient calls/messages same dayÂ
- Collaborate with Medical Assistants, Transitions of Care Team, Chronic Care Team, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team for continuity of careÂ
- Other duties assigned by provider

Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalentÂ
- Certification or Registration with CCMA, CMA, RMA, or NCMAÂ (Required)Â
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), knowledgeable of medical terminologyÂ
- Previous experience in specific medical field preferredÂ
