Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Accountant to join our growing team. This role is critical to ensuring the financial success of our projects by managing budgets, tracking costs, supporting billing, and maintaining accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of job costing, percentage of completion accounting, retainage, change orders and WIP schedules, advanced excel skills, excellent organizational and communication skills. The role is less about bookkeeping and more about being a financial minded person for assigned projects to help improve cash flow and identify financial risks before they become significant issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify risk

- Reconcile project accounts and track profitability across jobs
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
- Partner with project managers and internal accounting teams to support project success
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience in project accounting, with construction accounting preferred
- Strong working knowledge of CMiC and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
