The position is for a Governmental Letter of Authority (GLOA) Security Officer responsible for patrolling and ensuring the safety of Dallas County property.
The officer will work independently, complete police reports, carry firearms, and enforce various safety codes and ordinances.
This role requires participation in TXDPS and law enforcement training, as well as operating patrol vehicles and directing traffic.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in security or law enforcement.
The salary for this position is approximately $50,000 per year.

Serves as the Governmental Letter of Authority (GLOA) Security Officer specially commissioned to patrol and perform regulatory duties related to the safeguarding of Dallas County property. Works outside direct supervision, completes routine police reports and forms, carries firearms and intermediate weapons; attends TXDPS and law enforcement in-service training; enforces fire code/county ordinances and other life safety codes; monitors fire and life safety equipment; operates patrol vehicles and directs traffic; assists Marshal Service peace officers as directed.

Management Scope: May provide leadership to Public Safety Screeners.
