Serves as a strategic technical leader responsible for defining and governing the architecture of enterprise infrastructure platforms across Dallas County. This includes core systems such as cloud environments, server infrastructure, databases, and storage platforms. Partners with technology leaders and County departments to define future-state architecture, drive modernization, support transformation initiatives, and ensure secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure. Aligns infrastructure design with cybersecurity, enterprise data, application platforms, and service delivery needs.
The role creates strategic infrastructure architecture and long-term roadmaps that align with both current and future business objectives. They will design comprehensive infrastructure solutions for complex IT initiatives, covering areas such as data centers, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms. The position requires close collaboration with IT operations, security teams, application developers, and external vendors. It also ensures that all infrastructure designs meet established security protocols, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
