- Serve as a technical point of contact for bakery manufacturing operations and customers
- Support troubleshooting of issues related to dough mixing, fermentation, baking, cooling, slicing, and packaging
- Analyze product defects such as texture, volume, color, crumb structure, and shelf life
- Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMPs, SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000)
- Support product specifications, formulations, and process parameters
- Collaborate with R&D on product trials, reformulations, and new product launches
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Provide technical training to production teams on process controls and quality standards
- Document technical findings, recommendations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with customer complaints, technical inquiries, and product performance evaluations
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Baking Science, Cereal Science, or a related field
- Experience in bakery or food manufacturing, technical services, QA, or process engineering
- Strong knowledge of bakery processes, ingredients, and equipment
- Understanding of food safety regulations and quality systems
- Experience with commercial baking operations (bread, buns, pastries, tortillas, etc.)
- Familiarity with yeast-leavened and/or chemically leavened systems
