Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Identify and engage facility leaders, decision makers, and influencers in target markets.
- Represent our company in meetings as a trusted advisor and advocate for customer needs.
- Build long-term partnerships by providing reliable support, solutions, and follow-through.
Aftermarket Solutions
- Promote and facilitate parts sales, preventative maintenance agreements, and service repairs.
- Support customers with budgeting for HVAC projects and facilitate turnkey project execution.
- Assist in project closeout by attending owner training sessions, introducing Hobbs service capabilities to facility teams, and positioning Hobbs as the long-term partner for post-warranty support.
Sales & Quoting
- Learn to navigate manufacturer parts portals to order and quote replacement parts.
- Collaborate with the service team to prepare repair proposals and customized preventative maintenance agreements.
- Provide timely and accurate proposals tailored to customer needs.
Technical Training & Equipment Knowledge
- Receive training on Hobbs’ equipment line card, including applied systems such as:
- Air handlers
- Rooftop units
- Dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS)
- Water-sourced heat pumps
- Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
- Airside products (fans, grilles, dampers, louvers)
- Stay current on equipment features and service best practices to effectively communicate value to customers.
Experience and Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to learn HVAC concepts, equipment applications, and manufacturer systems (training provided).
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple customer accounts.
- Previous sales, account management, or HVAC industry experience is a plus, but not required.
