The Private Wealth management (PWM) business within Asset & Wealth Management division provides comprehensive financial services and advice across a full range of asset classes for ultra-high net worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering an integrated suite of tools, and applications to service clients. This platform helps realize a client's goals and objectives, develops, and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client service.

The Payment Services Platform is a strategic initiative establishing industry-leading standards for transparency, efficiency, and consistent service enabling clients to use their account balance to pay bills online, issue checks, pay at a merchant location, etc. The platform is modernizing through cloud-native infrastructure (AWS) and advanced data processing technologies to improve user experiences and transition from legacy systems to modern, scalable solutions that deliver operational efficiencies and superior client service.

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with 4+ years of experience to design, build, and operate cloud-native, data-intensive systems on AWS. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on cloud expertise, data engineering skills, and a pragmatic approach to reliability, security, and cost efficiency, and is fluent with GitLab for source control, code reviews, and CI/CD.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong Java with Spring Framework (Spring Boot)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with Agile operating models
• Proficient in data modeling and building reliable data integrations and APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD using GitLab CI/CD and Git version control; strong familiarity with merge requests, code reviews, and branching strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed systems 
• Knowledge of AWS services – compute, networking, storage, databases, messaging queues, serverless, and observability.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes 
• Previous experience in financial services or fintech is a significant advantage
