We are seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–7 years of litigation experience to join our growing litigation team. This position offers immediate courtroom experience, direct client interaction, and significant opportunities for professional growth.

Position Summary

The Civil Litigation Associate will manage a diverse caseload from inception through trial while collaborating with experienced partners and senior attorneys. The ideal candidate is confident handling litigation independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage a litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Prepare witnesses and clients for testimony
  • Develop litigation strategy with supervising partners
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status
  • Analyze evidence and prepare case evaluations
  • Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff
  • Accurately record billable time and meet productivity expectations
  • Participate in business development and networking activities

Qualifications

Required

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Texas Bar
  • 3–7 years of civil litigation experience
  • Experience drafting dispositive motions and written discovery
  • Experience taking or defending depositions
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional oral advocacy and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Client-focused mindset with professional judgment
