The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will manage the operational execution for a select portfolio of clients, serving as their primary daily contact. You will bridge the gap between our customers’ needs and our carrier network to ensure seamless logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Execution:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for select clients, managing all daily communication and inquiries with a sense of urgency.
  • Ensure 100% of shipments are accurately tagged, scheduled, and covered daily, overseeing the process from pickup to delivery.
  • Manage the "Building Load" process, ensuring all data entry is accurate to prevent downstream errors.
  • Maintain a rigorous "End of Day" audit of all loads with outstanding appointments and a total revenue audit to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Speed & Responsiveness:
  • Quote spot business with lightning-fast turnaround times, following up with customers on all quotes within 15 minutes.
  • Respond to all Tenders within a 15-minute window to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Provide prompt, proactive acknowledgments to all customer inquiries, ensuring they never have to ask for an update.

Relationship Management:

  • Conduct weekly relationship-building calls with Points of Contact (POCs) for both spot and contract business.
  • Maintain an up-to-date shared drive of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all accounts to ensure consistency and service quality.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Carrier Representatives, negotiating and troubleshooting to keep freight moving.
  • Financial & Issue Resolution:
  • Act as the "first responder" for issue resolution, handling shipment delays or discrepancies with transparency.
  • Address invoicing and Accounts Receivable (AR) issues in collaboration with the accounting team and the customer to ensure clean financial cycles.
  • Manage portal updates and scheduling confirmations to keep all stakeholders aligned in real-time.
