The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will lead the full financial function across our multi-location and multi-entity healthcare organization. The CFO will be responsible for strengthening our accounting and financial operations, improving visibility into revenue and cash flow, supporting billing and revenue cycle performance, and building scalable financial systems and controls. At the same time, this individual will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, helping evaluate growth opportunities, acquisitions, new service lines, capital needs, and long-term financial strategy.
We are looking for a builder, not simply a maintainer.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Infrastructure
路聽聽聽聽聽 Build and strengthen the financial infrastructure necessary to support a growing, multi-site healthcare organization.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Establish scalable financial processes, controls, reporting, forecasting, and accountability across locations and entities.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Provide the CEO and executive leadership team with clear financial analysis and actionable insight to support business decisions.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Develop meaningful financial and operational KPIs and improve visibility into performance by location, entity, and service line.
Accounting & Financial Operations
路聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain hands-on oversight of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Improve the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of financial reporting.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure consolidated financial statements are accurate, audit-ready, and appropriately reflect multiple entities and locations.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Partner with outside CPAs and tax advisors on tax planning, compliance, and multi-entity considerations.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Establish appropriate internal controls and financial policies as the organization grows.
Billing, Revenue Cycle & Cash Flow
路聽聽聽聽聽 Partner closely with billing and operational leaders to improve revenue cycle performance.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Develop reliable cash flow forecasting across entities and locations.
路聽聽聽聽聽 RCM leadership or significant revenue cycle management experience is a plus.
Financial Planning & Analysis
路聽聽聽聽聽 Build and maintain financial models from the ground up to support forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts and establish processes for measuring actual performance against expectations.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Analyze profitability and contribution margin by location, provider, service line, and other meaningful business segments.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Translate financial information into practical recommendations for operational and executive leaders.
Growth, M&A & Capital Strategy
路聽聽聽聽聽 Evaluate the financial impact of new locations, service lines, acquisitions, and other growth opportunities.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Lead or play a senior role in merger, acquisition, diligence, integration, or future transaction activities.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Develop financial models and reporting that can withstand scrutiny from lenders, investors, private equity partners, and potential transaction partners.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Manage and expand relationships with banks, lenders, and other capital partners.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Evaluate and structure debt, equity, or other financing strategies to support organizational growth.
Cost Management & EBITDA
路聽聽聽聽聽 Identify opportunities to improve operating efficiency, margins, and EBITDA while maintaining quality of care and supporting sustainable operations.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Partner with operational leaders to understand labor, vendor, facility, and other cost drivers.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Establish financial accountability without losing sight of the operational realities of healthcare.
Systems, Data & Technology
路聽聽聽聽聽 Improve the integration and use of financial, accounting, billing, and operational systems.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Leverage modern financial technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, forecasting, modeling, and efficiency.
What We鈥檙e Looking For
路聽聽聽聽聽 Significant senior financial leadership experience, preferably as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or similar leadership role within a growing healthcare organization.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Healthcare experience is required, with strong preference for multi-site physician practices, medical groups, MSOs, ambulatory healthcare, primary care, specialty care, or similar healthcare services.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated experience managing financial operations across multiple locations and/or legal entities.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Strong accounting foundation with the willingness and ability to remain hands-on.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Experience overseeing or working closely with healthcare billing and revenue cycle management; direct RCM experience is a plus.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management capabilities.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Experience supporting or leading mergers, acquisitions, integrations, financing transactions, or organizational sales.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working with banks, lenders, investors, or private equity partners.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve margins and EBITDA.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Working knowledge of tax considerations for multi-entity organizations.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with QuickBooks and IES preferred.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) strongly preferred.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; CPA, MBA, or other advanced financial credential preferred.
