The Communications Director at Church360 is develops and executes a comprehensive communication strategy to support the church’s mission to help people find and follow Jesus. This role oversees all internal and external communication, including digital platforms, social media, weekend experience support, branding, and ministry messaging.
This leader partners closely with ministry teams to ensure clear, timely, and compelling communication that aligns with Church360’s voice, vision, and values. The role also leads creative processes, manages communication systems, and may oversee staff or volunteers contributing to content creation and execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and lead a unified communications strategy across all ministries  
  • Manage and maintain Church360’s brand, voice, and messaging standards  
  • Oversee all communication channels including website, email, social media, and print  
  • Partner with ministry leaders to plan and execute communication for events, series, and initiatives  
  • Lead the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of communications  
  • Oversee weekend communication elements (slides, announcements, digital engagement)  
  • Manage social media strategy, engagement, and growth  
  • Analyze communication effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly  
  • Oversee or collaborate with creative team members (design, video, photography)  
  • Ensure clear internal communication across staff and ministries  
  • Recruit, train, and lead volunteers or team members supporting communications  
  • Manage communication tools and platforms (e.g., website CMS, email systems, project tools) 
  • Maintain alignment between communication efforts and church vision and priorities 
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications:

Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Experience managing multiple communication channels

  • Strong leadership abilities 
  • Proficiency with communication and design tools
  • Experience in church or nonprofit communications
  • Basic graphic design, video, or content creation skills
  • Familiarity with church management systems and engagement strategies

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Ministry, or related field OR equivalent experience plus 3–5 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience in a multi-staff church environment and experience leading communication strategy at an organizational level preferred

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods. 
  • Proficiency in typing and using office equipment 
  • Capability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to work nights and weekend, as required
